If I bring up female political leaders, the first name that will come to mind will probably be Margaret Thatcher's.

Well, today I had the urge to write not only about female political leaders but also beautiful female political leaders. Beauty and Power. What a combination, don´t you agree? Of course I could talk about the many beauties in the Italian parliament, but I won't since I could irritate the Great Berlusconi and I don´t want to.

From time to time, the world has seen female political leaders, although not as many as gender equality supporters would want. Many of these women are obviously very talented politicians, but they don´t have the looks. So let me enlighten you about some of the women who combine these two qualities.

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine, now arrested, according to some, because she stood up to Russian Prime Minister and now President, Vladimir Putin.

Cristina Kirchner

Widow of former President Néstor Kirchner, she is the current President of Argentina.

Rachida Dati

Today, Member of European Parliament; former Minister of Justice of France.

Asma al-Assad

Unlike the other women, we cannot say that she is a politician. Nevertheless, being the wife of the world's new bad boy, I think she can be in this post. Many hope that her stunning appearance can cool down her husband's – Syrian President Bashar al-Assad – temper.
